Why I Blog

I love friendship, and any opportunity to share my story, and to hear the stories that will in turn encourage and inspire me! Simply put, it means that Blogging provides a great avenue for me to hear your story, to share friendship with you (coffee via blogging) and inspire one another.

Because I believe in and value the lessons learnt in the classroom of life, I totally believe we have so much to offer each other and no matter where we are in this amazing world we can be friends, share life – the ups and downs – and bring support to one another.

One of the valuable lessons I have learnt is that I am inspired to move forward, step out or become courageous in a situation when I witness others doing just that. With the thought that “if he/she can do that, then I can too”.  Many times in my life I have been able to display this to others, in turn being the one to inspire and encourage.

Through the avenue of blogging and time with you, I will share not only personal experiences that will provide this inspiration and courage, but also a variety of helpful tips from everyday living to the more in depth situations in life.

My personal experience has included being a survivor of many forms of abuse, and is why I value GENUINE friendship, support and encouragement of others.  From this I have learnt to become more confident and content and courageous in life.

Throughout my life I have also had to learn how to develop and maintain a healthy budget, from this I have created many avenues of ‘saving’ where possible. Although I am not a hoarder, I do take several ‘looks’ at the possibilities of what can be recycled from something. Some examples of these can be viewed in my pics.

So that is why I blog, I wanted to meet and get to know YOU!

I would like to invite you to share this journey with me.

Book DEBrief

"Undaunted" by Christine Caine

A book I will read again!

The story that Christine shares is personal and impacting, full of honesty and openness. I related to so much of what she had to share and was extremely encouraged.

Christine is with no doubt a woman of faith, but it is the way in which she openly shares the journey of faith, including the thoughts of doubt and question and the wonder of how it will all work out that for me was the greatest encouragement.

I often feel like a lesser woman of faith when I begin to doubt, yet what I learnt from this real life story is that is the action which we take that will bring us closer to the purpose we were designed for.

I was also reminded that, from my own dark and depressive experiences, I can be used to empower and equip others; but it takes the desire to not only want change but to hang on tight to it, grip it well and move forward with it every day.

This is my first Christine Caine book, one I picked up from a recommendation, and I am so glad that I did. Christine writes in an easy to read fashion, but I found it was her honesty and humbleness before God that captured me.

I do recommend this book as a great read, but be prepared to be challenged whilst also very encouraged to become someone who is UNDAUNTED!
