About Me

Thanks for stopping by and DEBriefing with me

Who I am

I am known for being real, not necessarily ‘wearing my heart on my sleeve’ but real all the same, this enables me to be caring in a genuine way for others. I believe whole-heartedly in life experience and that every one has a journey and story to tell. I consider it an honour to be given the opportunity to share with another in their journey, which brings me to one of my joys in life – friendships. What a blessing friends are!

I enjoy a good coffee.

Another one of the great blessings in my life is being married to a Godly man who loves and adores God and ME!

And the blessings continue, I am a mother of six including two daughters-in-love and a soon to be grandmother! My full time job is as a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations, you may know this position as full time mum. I guess when I become a grandmother, I will be a Senior Research Associate!

I have worked as a Radio Breakfast Co-Host and as a Producer Presenter of a magazine style radio show, as an events coordinator and Ministry Department Leader.

I am a published author of a book and a mentoring program.

My greatest blessing of all… being called and loved by a Faithful and Gracious God, I treasure my time with God on a daily basis and He never fails to encourage, inspire or challenge me to grow deeper in relationship with Him. I love how He has provided those around me to be “God with skin on” in my journey.

Im loving reading your blog each week Deb, I receive weekly little emails from Godly organisations with different ‘encouragements’ for the challenges we face in living in the world but ‘not of it’. What a bonus to actually know & love the author, know the integrity of the woman & trust the shared blessings of one who loves the life God has given her ‘in triumphs & trials’. I can’t wait for next weeks ‘installmet’.

Book DEBrief

"Undaunted" by Christine Caine

A book I will read again!

The story that Christine shares is personal and impacting, full of honesty and openness. I related to so much of what she had to share and was extremely encouraged.

Christine is with no doubt a woman of faith, but it is the way in which she openly shares the journey of faith, including the thoughts of doubt and question and the wonder of how it will all work out that for me was the greatest encouragement.

I often feel like a lesser woman of faith when I begin to doubt, yet what I learnt from this real life story is that is the action which we take that will bring us closer to the purpose we were designed for.

I was also reminded that, from my own dark and depressive experiences, I can be used to empower and equip others; but it takes the desire to not only want change but to hang on tight to it, grip it well and move forward with it every day.

This is my first Christine Caine book, one I picked up from a recommendation, and I am so glad that I did. Christine writes in an easy to read fashion, but I found it was her honesty and humbleness before God that captured me.

I do recommend this book as a great read, but be prepared to be challenged whilst also very encouraged to become someone who is UNDAUNTED!
