I believe and the Lion (lioness for me!) awakes!
In Affirmation!
I believe in repetition.
I believe in telling my inner voice… over and over again, what it needs to hear.
This is good for me, in fact this is more than helpful and if I am completely honest with you (which I aim to do all the time!) it is also necessary for my daily life.
The repetition of the same thing being said helps me personally to take a greater hold of what my thoughts should be, gets it sinking into my head and my thoughts; assisting me to replay the same ‘song’ over and over.
This brings a greater inner strength like no other; of course this outcome is only the result of a positive phrase or song.
Recently I was encouraged by this medium through the listening to a song that repeats the wording “ I Believe” with the expansion of the phrase each time, thus reminding my soul over and over of the things it needs to hear.
Each line of the song adds a clearer understanding of the statement.
Although the lyrics also challenged me on what I was singing along to, the affirmation was good, very good, but I needed to believe it myself.
This part is vital. As I examined each word of the phrase with my inner spirit, soul if you like, I was reminded that yes I do believe this, and because I do I was reinvigorated. The best way to explain it is, I began to feel like my inner lion was arising.
The result was that regardless of what was yet to come, regardless of what the day was going to unfold for me, I was able to withstand it. Sure, I am still likely to have consequences of events yet to unfold, but nothing was too strong to overcome me. I could allow my inner lion to arise if I continue to feed it what it needs.
My inner lion needs affirmation.
My inner lion needs to be reminded that it can stand tall.
My inner lion needs to be awoken.
Yes if I am honest once again, this is not always how I feel, but the message of this particular song reminded me that each and every day is a new one, that each and every word I repeat in my head should be good food and worthy of entering in.
And although I may not fully believe what I am saying (or singing in this case) the first time, repetition soon breaks this lack of belief and replaces it with a strength like no other.
The song challenged me on what I believe.
I found this helpful, maybe you will too.
What do you believe? Are you aware of what you are capable of and designed for?
I believe I am designed for purpose. I believe you are too!
May the lion arise in you as well!

Ps Here is the song I speak of:
Our Father, everlasting
The all creating One
God Almighty
Through Your Holy Spirit
Concede in Christ the Son
Jesus our Saviour
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the name of Jesus
Our judge and our defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious light
Forever seated high
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the name of Jesus
Yes, I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
I believe in Life Eternal
I believe virgin birth
I believe in the saints’ communion
And in Your holy church
I believe in the resurrection
When Jesus comes again
For I believe in the name of Jesus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the name of Jesus
For I believe in the name of Jesus
For I believe in the name of Jesus
I totally love that song as well, we’ve just learned it at church ….. I can’t get it out of my head (which is a good thing) …. thanks Hillsong
