You are not a mistake!!
Yes, it’s true.
It is ABSOLUTELY true.
It is a fact you were shaped from the inside out, with your real beauty coming from within; you have been intricately sculpted from nothing into something.
You are someone unique and this world is a better place because YOU are here.
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out…..
You know me inside out….
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
How I was sculpted from nothing into something…
Psalm 139
Think about it….to sculpt something – or in this case someone – takes time. It means to create, put together, or bring about. A sculptor engineers with skill and purpose, and is a craftsman with an eye for detail.
You were created with great skill and for a purpose.
Because of this you can have real and lasting Self Esteem and every reason for a strong self worth.
Genuine Self-esteem does not hang on things such as outward success, appearance, or even income or position in life. Acquiring these or working towards these, in itself is not wrong, but because they are temporal, they should not be what we build our self-esteem, or self worth, on. Often what these temporal outcomes can do is become hindrances in finding truly real and lasting self-esteem. The security they provide is false, and should they be removed from your life, so too will the lack of self esteem linked to them.
Many people at some time in the journey of life are faced with the challenge of a lack of self-esteem– so we can know we are not alone in this journey.
Although, how we tackle this challenge will be different for every individual, the fundamentals are the same.
Let’s look at some helpful things that we can do.
Keep Positive Talk
Believing in YOU begins with talking positively about YOU. Often we speak things to ourselves (self-talk) that we would never allow others to say to us, pulling ourselves down before we even begin.
Begin new habits today that include positive talk, reminding yourself of your value, worth and your uniqueness. No two people are the same, so only you can do best what you are called to do, and you can begin by being your own biggest fan. This does not mean being prideful and quoting your achievements loudly for all to hear, but keeping positive firstly from within.
Take Care of YOU
Often we take better care of other things or other people in our life than we do of ourselves. This does not serve us well, and nor can we expect to operate like this long term.
Eating, resting, exercising and sleeping well are all important factors to consider. This not only shows YOU that YOU are of value; it will equip you to be the best you can in all that you do.
You are individually designed and a great person to be around, why not spoil yourself with some of your own wonderful company.
Plan some Time Out
Everyone needs to have ‘time out’, a time where you can recap on life and refresh your mind, body and soul. Life should include these special moments, to relax and renew. It doesn’t have to involve a huge amount of time or money; it just needs to be something that is as individual as you are.
Maybe a simple cup of tea, a few moments outdoors, or taking in the splendour of the sunset, or you could allocate this time to start that new hobby you have wanted to do.
Thank you for all that you bring to this world and sharing life’s journey with me. I value you greatly.
